It's been years now since I've heard a sonic boom from any kind of aircraft landing at Edwards Air Force Base.  I miss those booms. The last was from a Space Shuttle landing.  The Shuttle had a very distinctive double sonic boom.  Eventually, everyone understood what the very loud kaboom kaboom was from and the noise came to mean welcome home.
